This part of French Catalonia offers some dramatic scenery and is a must for enthusiastic walkers. The summit of the Canigou Mountain is over 9,000ft high and is accessible both on foot and by road at most times of the year.

In addition to the rugged hillsides and valleys the coast is within easy reach (approx. 35 minutes by car). Here you will find beautiful white sandy beaches and plenty of water sports.

There are good golf courses in the area such as St Cyprien 18 hole international course and the superb mountain course at Domaine De Falgos. Horse riding, pony trekking, boat trips, and the famous gorges are also nearby. However, if you simply want a quiet relaxing holiday this lovely area has one of the best climates in the South of France.

Villa Josephine has been carefully separated into two delightful self contained homes. The property has been upgraded with sympathy to its style and original charm; care has been taken to ensure that both homes are well equipped and offer all the comforts to help you enjoy your holidays in the South of France. Each property has its own private garden and BBQ areas. There is a well stocked orchard and clients may pick the ripe fruit during their visit. These include cherry, peach, greengage, grapefruit, kiwi and fig trees.

The property is in a quiet location by the River Tech within easy walking distance of historic Palalda & the famous spa town of Amelie les Bains. The town offers ample choice of shops, restaurants and its famous fruit and vegetable market where you can buy your fresh produce most days.

Bedroom 1 is a double room large enough to accommodate a 'put up' bed or cot if required. En suite shower room.

Bedroom 2 again is a double room with twin beds and a child's single bed.

Bedroom 3 is a double room with single beds. All bedrooms have lovely views of Palalda.

If you wish to fly to this area of France a number of French or Spanish airports may be used.

TO BOOK THE VILLA WE WOULD ASK FOR A 25% DEPOSIT OF THE TOTAL COST FOLLOWED BY THE REMAINDER OF THE RENTAL AND A £100 REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT 8 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE.

The changeover day for the apartments is a Saturday but depending on bookings this can be changed by prior arrangement.
